Ireland 2019

In May my class and I travelled to the spectacular island Ireland. We stayed there for one week and we lived with a host family.

On our first day, we visited the Powerscourt House & Gardens and a place where druids used to live. The Powerscourt Gardens were extremely beautiful. I had never been to such a gorgeous garden. We were also lucky with the weather. It was not warm, but it did not rain a lot.

On the following day, we went to Dublin. It was my first time in the capital city of Ireland. I really enjoyed the sightseeing. The city impressed me and maybe I will return for a weekend someday.

The other days we had class form nine till twelve. The lessons were not difficult, since we came there to have fun. After school, we had spare time and we were allowed to take the bus or the train to Dublin. One night the whole class went to the gaming hall and played Lasertag, bowling and other stuff there. Almost every evening I met my friends at the beach to relax and to enjoy the trip.

Our teachers wanted to show us the most typical sports of Ireland. Therefore, our last trip was to the biggest amateur stadium of the world, where we explored Gaelic football and Hurling.

I really enjoyed the trip and I had a lot of fun or how the Irish say “craic”.
